Hurricane Irene aftermath - Power still out

Just a quick note:  Late Saturday night (8/27) Hurricane Irene took out our power (and water) along with almost half a million other Maryland residents.  Today, Wednesday morning (8/31) we are still without power, as are many other Maryland residents.  Current BGE predictions are that our power will be restored by Friday night (9/2).

On the other hand, I had my first Etsy sale of a very pretty autumn colored necklace and earrings set on Monday, and my first ACEO sale of a very cool owl and swirl pattern on Tuesday.  Way to brighten a week!!!

I’m borrowing a friend’s computer to write this, and will resume blogging after the power returns (and we get a week’s worth of dirty clothes and messy house back under control).  See you all then!!!

And just a reminder, just because I’m without power, doesn’t mean my Etsy shop is closed.  Stop by and see what goodies I’ve been posting on the borrowed computer.

Just posted one of my Halloween-ish ACEO cards.  It’s an owl perched in a sort of Art Deco stamped swirl against a metallic and watercolor background.  I really like the way the stamping turned out against the colors and metallics.
